Claron McFadden

  • Vocalist

Soprano Claron McFadden is a vocalist who makes original choices in terms of repertoire and presentation. She feels at home in various genres of music, often seeking to blend classical music with pop, jazz and non-European music.

McFadden has performed at the Dutch National Opera & Ballet, the Bayerische Staatsoper and La Scala in Milan. She also sang at the inauguration of King Willem Alexander in 2013. She has been Artist in Residence at Muziektheater Transparant since 2012 and her first production, Lilith, premiered at the Holland Festival. In 2010, she spoke at TEDxAmsterdam on the spontaneity of vocal expression. In 2016, she sat down with Robbert Dijkgraaf to discuss chaos, structure and parallels between the arts and the sciences.
